Welcome Back ... No better way to welcome our Wiley friends back to school after a long hiatus than with a quick, rockin' pep rally.  Ms. Ware and I had a fantastic time hamming it up with the students in our rock star gear!

Fun Run for Technology Schedule Plan
Despite the bad weather, your Wiley Fun Run team is ready to rock!
Our goal is to raise $18,000 to replace technology that is no longer working at Wiley. Over the next two weeks, students will learn about the different ways they can help make their community rock, by participating in team huddles. Students will also be asking for pledges toward the number of laps they will run. Most kids run between 30-35 laps. Help connect your child with friends and family through phone, email, social media, hand written letters, etc.
Look for information in your Monday folder today and be sure to register your child on www.funrun.com to receive a free gift.
Also, come out and cheer for the runners on Friday, March 13th.
9:30am - Kindergarten, First, Mrs. Kurtz's class
10:40am - 2nd, 3rd, Mrs. O'Brien's class
11:50am - 4th and 5th Grades
Given our schedule change, we still need volunteers are needed to help distribute water on the day of the Fun Run and to help count donations. If you have signed up, please check that the new dates still work for you. If you are now available, please sign up at:

Talent Show Plan
As they say in showbiz, the show must go on! The talent show will go on as scheduled on Thursday March 12th at 6 p.m. Acts will audition and rehearse as planned this Thursday 3/5 after school. The rehearsal may last a bit longer as the participants will need to audition and rehearse acts in one session.

Frozen Skate Night and Moe’s to be Rescheduled
When the PTA Board meets this week, we will discuss revised timing for the Moe’s Restaurant Night and Frozen Skate Night event. 

Nominating Committee for 2015-2016 PTA Board
As strange as it may seem, the PTA is already planning for the 2015-2016 school year. All four executive board positions must be reelected each year, and our hope is to run this election at Science Night.
Three of our four current Executive Board members (President (Teresa Jones), 1st Vice President (Elyse Lyons) and Treasurer (Christine Belledin) are planning to run for reelection to their current positions. We will have an open Executive Board spot for a Secretary. If you are interested in running for Secretary or for one of the other Executive Board roles against these individuals, please email the Chair of the Nominating Committee at nominating@wileypta.org by Wednesday March 18th.

We are confirming other Board openings and Committee Chair needs over the next couple of weeks and will publish a formal list closer to Spring Break. In the meantime, if you are interested in a role on the Board or as a Committee Chair, reach out to nominating@wileypta.org to add your name to the list.
